Sarah Roth (she/they) is a writer and medical anthropologist based in Philadelphia, where she is a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Pennsylvania. A Pushcart Prize nominee, Sarah holds an MFA in Creative Writing from University of Notre Dame and a PhD in Anthropology from Johns Hopkins University. She is also a board-certified genetic counselor. Sarah currently serves as editor-in-chief of Tendon, the health humanities journal at the Johns Hopkins Center for Medical Humanities and Social Medicine, and as assistant managing editor for poetry at Asymptote. Their debut chapbook, Inheritances, is forthcoming from Finishing Line Press.
